London, March 26, 2024 - Allen Day, former head of Web3 developer relations at Google Cloud, has joined Dovey Wan's Primitive Ventures as a venture partner. Day will focus on areas such as the intersection of AI and crypto, decentralized data and compute stacks, and cryptographic schemes and validation mechanisms.

Day's move to Primitive Ventures signals the growing interest from tech giants in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space. Google has been actively exploring Web3 initiatives, including the launch of its own blockchain node engine and the acquisition of blockchain analytics firm Looker.
The investment firm, founded by Wan in 2021, has a portfolio of over 50 blockchain startups, including Polygon, NEAR, and Filecoin.
